If I’m going to a Japanese wedding I’ve been told that I should take cash as a gift, and that it should be new and folded. Is this right? I’ve also been told that bride and groom are supposed to reciprocate your gift – and that they will give you something to the value of about a third of your gift. Is this true? If so, do they give cash or a gift? And at the wedding, or later?

I’m making the wedding cake for friends. Its snowmen as a bride and groom. I’m after ideas for the ‘brides’ head – she needs hair or a head covering. Ideally it would be edible – so not wool which would get stuck to the icing. Ideas needed asap. Cheers!

Any suggestions on what to make people do to make the bride and groom kiss at the wedding reception??
Something other than clanging glasses?? I was thinking of having a jar and making people put money in it if they wanted us to kiss…that way we can get a little extra money to help pay for the wedding?

I’m pretty sure most of the pictures I’ve seen of newlyweds, the bride is usually on the left side. What is the norm? I have a big dark bruise on my left upper arm and my wedding gown is strapless so I don’t want it showing up in the pictures and I really don’t wanna put make-up on it. Thanks to all answers in advance! Have a great day!! : )

I thought the groom was supposed to get the bride a gift. Is the bride also supposed to get the groom a gift?
